Weekly Outline (April 6-13)

Hello Parents, 

As mentioned in the email, we will be sending families a weekly outline. Weekly tasks will be assigned on Monday and students have one week to submit it the following Monday. In other words, each task on this outline must be completed by April 13th. Each task is currently in the google classroom. Please remind students to check their gmail and accept the invitation to join the google classroom.


April 6 - 12, 2020 

  
THE BELOW TASKS ARE TO BE COMPLETED BY MONDAY, APRIL 13th. You can do them in any order that you would like. The approximate time to complete your assignments are listed to help you plan your week.   
  
Language Arts / Science / Social 
Time- 3.5 hours 

*Journal Entry 
  - Write a paragraph about what your life has been like over the past few weeks. Use the checklist to revise/edit before you submit it! 
(45 min) 

Reading 
   - read Raz Kids, EPIC!, online book or a book you have at home 
(30 min) 

Social Studies  
Indigenous Stories 
-Complete story review on Indigenous story through Epic (Chapter 2 of Trickster Stories and video (Coyote and Eagle Stole the Sun and Moon) 
-Students will complete book review using google slides template posted 
(1.5 hours) 

Science 
  
-Read a book on plants (“What Lily Gets from the Bee”) and answer questions.  
  
-Do the poll 
(40 min) 

Science - Shadow Puppets 
·       Watch youtube video / look at chart to learn how to make different shadow puppets 
·       Use a light source (e.g., flashlight, lamp, or cell phone light) to practice making shadows. Experiment with moving hands / light closer and farther from the wall 
·       Show your shadows to your family 
(15 min) 
  
Math 
Time 1.5 hours
